Festive favourites from 2019
Christmas may be over for another year but I thought I’d reflect on my festive favourites from 2019.
I did this last year when I looked back on my festive favourites from 2018 and my festive favourites from 2017.
Here’s a run down of some of my festive favourites from Christmas 2019
We enjoyed getting into the festive spirit with Elsie donning some very cute outfits courtesy of my friend Farrah who kindly gave us some of her little boys old Christmas clothes and some little outfits my mam bought.

Elsie met Santa for the first time when we invited and enjoyed story time at Festive Tales with Father Christmas at Woodhorn Museum. Elsie loved listening to the Snowman story and even had a cuddle with the man in red.

Although Elsie was poorly with a nasty virus just a week before Christmas we had managed to squeeze in a few festive treats before the big day.
We met up with friends and had a lovely day at Beamish museum, this was Elsie’s first ever visit and my first one during the festive period. It was such a mild day and it was a lovely way to catch up with friends and their little ones and get into the Christmas spirit.

Thanks to a birthday voucher Elsie and I met up with our friends from Water Babies Emma and baby Rose in Newcastle. We enjoyed a delicious festive Afternoon Tea at Marco Pierre White.

Christmas week itself was really busy.
We had Steve’s family come to stay with us Christmas Eve until the day after Boxing Day.
On Christmas Eve Elsie opened her special box from my parents with goodies inside.

And we donned our matching pyjamas.

Steve with the help of some sous chefs rustled up a delicious three course Christmas meal – the turkey is the tastiest I’ve ever had!

On Boxing Day we hosted more family with my parents, little brother and nanna joining us for a festive feast of party food.
Then we had a pretty quiet weekend with tea out with friends before we headed down to Lincolnshire to see Steve’s family, staying with his parents. We had lots of visitors and Elsie took it all in her stride, she was absolutely made up to spend some time with her big cousin.
We had a quiet New Year’s Eve and a lovely picky bits lunch with family on New Year’s Day, even managing a flying visit to see friends and their little girl.
Then on the second of January we made our way back home.
Elsie has been really spoilt with lovely gifts from family and friends and we are once again bowled over with everyone’s generosity.
We had a really lovely first Christmas with Elsie, managing to see a lot of family and friends.
The tree and decorations are coming down today and we’ll try to organise the mountain of new toys and clothes Elsie received!

Aww what a lovely Christmas! Busy but in a good kind of way, hopefully. Poor little Elsie getting that virus right before it though, fingers crossed she’s all okay now. She is such a sweetie and it’s lovely of your parents to do that Xmas Eve box. Love the photo of you three in your matching PJs, that’s beyond awesome! ♥

Yes busy in a lovely way. She’s grand now thank you Caz. Xx
Omg Elsie is so cute!! I love your favorites, thank you for sharing! My favorites were basically watching movies at home with my husband with all of the Christmas lights on and drinking wine.
Lovely favourites! Thank you 😊
