Festive Afternoon Tea at Marco Pierre White – review

Festive Afternoon Tea at Marco Pierre White – review

22nd December 2019 1 By Rachael Stray

One of my birthday presents was a gift voucher for festive Afternoon Tea at Marco Pierre White in Newcastle.

I booked the festive Afternoon Tea for two for a week before Christmas and invited my friend Emma and her little girl Rose to join Elsie and I for this special treat.

This was my first ever festive Afternoon Tea and visit to Marco Pierre White in Newcastle so I was very excited.

As it’s Elsie’s first Christmas and I am really getting into the festive spirit and making the most of being on maternity leave.

It was really busy with lots of people enjoying festive treats at the restaurant.

We were kindly taken to a large booth in a quieter area as we had two prams and babies in tow.

Included with the festive Afternoon Tea is a cocktail, we both plumped for a strawberry bellini and yep it was delicious!

While we got settled into the booth our bellinis swiftly arrived shortly followed by our Afternoon Tea.

To accompany our food we both chose a hot chocolate rather than tea or coffee.

Emma fed Rose while we chatted and waited for our hot chocolates, they were accidentally forgotten but a kind waiter who was checking in with us quickly rectified this mistake.

We had a leisurely couple of hours having a good catchup and tucking into the treats.

The waiters were attentive and made a fuss of our little girls without making us feel like we were being a nuisance.

I enjoyed the selection of sandwiches and my hot chocolate really was worth the wait.

The fruit scones were particularly delicious and the little desserts were really sweet.

We had a fabulous afternoon and the santa hats were a really nice added touch.

A huge thank you to the lovely Joanne and her fiance for this special treat we had a lovely time.

Festive Afternoon Tea at Marco Pierre White in Newcastle costs £21.95 per person and is available Monday – Friday 12pm – 5pm and Saturday – Sunday 12:30pm – 5:30pm.
