I’ve been using the Maybelline Grippy The Serum Primer for a while now so thought I’d share an honest review.

My overall thoughts on Maybelline Grippy The Serum Primer
I’ve tried my fair share of primers – some too slippery, some too sticky, some that basically do nothing.
But Maybelline Grippy The Serum Primer? This one had me curious from the get-go.
A serum and a primer? With skincare benefits and long-lasting makeup grip? Yes please.
First Impressions
The packaging is sleek, and I love a dropper – it just feels a bit more luxe.
The texture is super lightweight, kind of like a gel-serum hybrid.
You apply it with the dropper, pat it in with your fingertips, and then… wait 20 seconds.
That’s when the magic happens.
It goes on like a refreshing serum, and then it grips.
You can actually feel it changing on your skin – just a slight tackiness that makes you think, “Yep, my foundation is going to stick to this all day.” And honestly? It does.
The Results
It’s packed with 2% niacinamide (hello, skincare!), which is great for brightening and smoothing over time.
Straight after applying, my skin felt plump and hydrated – like I’d just done my full skincare routine.
Foundation went on like a dream – smooth, even, no patchiness. And it stayed put even in my oily t-zone.
