Snuggle Seat bean bag for babies and beyond – review (AD)

Elsie was kindly gifted her very own bean bag for babies from the lovely folks at Snuggle Seat in exchange for an honest review*.

We were able to choose which design we’d like and after perusing the Snuggle Seat website I opted for this black and white zebra bean bag as it’s gender neutral and not babyish – it will grow with Elsie.

The creators behind the Snuggle Seat have carried out lots of research to create this product to ensure it’s practical, safe, comfortable and stylish.

Quite honestly the Snuggle Seat is a godsend it means I can get on with household chores and she can be in the same room as me while being both comfortable and safe.

What is a Snuggle Seat?

The Original Snuggle Seat is a baby bean bag designed for the modern family with style, minimalism, comfort and safety in mind.

Made for newborns to eight-year-old children, this is a perfect childhood accessory.

It comes with two removable covers which easily zip on and off which allows you to adapt the level of beans which are kept securely in the bag.

The harnessed newborn cover features some fabulous innovations in the baby bean bag market and has a quick one hand release buckle which is ideal if you’re in a bit of a sticky situation whether it’s sick, wee or a dreaded poonami!

We were so pleased that the Snuggle Seat comes already assembled and pre-filled so there’s no mess or faffing about.

The newborn cover also features a triple layer foam bumper which means it protects your babies head and keeps them securely nested inside a safety ring.

Once your baby can support themselves sitting up you simply remove the newborn cover to reveal the second cover, this is a reduced bean filling which enables them to use Snuggle Seat as a lightweight chair.

This product is so baby friendly. Of course accidents happen with babies which is why I’m so pleased the Snuggle Seat is really easy to clean. All you need to do is zip off whichever top cover you are using and remove the inner filling bag which allows it to breathe. Then you can clean the base with a damp cloth and use a gentle upholstery cleaning spray. Allow the seat to air dry in a spacious room and don’t fold.

To wash the top cover, hand soak in lukewarm water with mild washing powder, and ensure it is thoroughly soaked. Don’t scrub, but rub! Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean.

My overall thoughts on Snuggle Seat

I really love Elsie’s Snuggle Seat and more importantly she does too – sometimes she even falls asleep!

The design is really simple and I like that it will also grow with her – it isn’t babyish at all.

Not many items that are suitable for babies actually grow with your child which is one of the things that makes Snuggle Seat baby bean bags so brilliant!

Elsie will be able to enjoy her Snuggle Seat until she’s about eight years old which is fantastic – a great investment!

The top is padded and soft and also waterproof, the whole product is made using hard-wearing materials to be completely child friendly and the base is grippy to ensure the bean bag stays firmly in place on slippery floors.

Elsie is very wriggly so the secure harness ensures she doesn’t slip out.

We use the Snuggle Seat every single day.

As Elsie can’t be put down immediately after having a bottle she can’t be put down flat for at least 20 minutes the Snuggle Seat comes in so handy, I can strap her in and get some chores done or even just nip to the loo especially when I’m on my own.

On Friday I do the big household jobs and Elsie comes with me around the house in her Snuggle Seat.

I would absolutely recommend investing in a Snuggle Seat of your own, it keeps baby safe and secure while also being comfortable and is one of very few items that will grow with your child.
