Unboxing September new season reset Glossybox
My September Glossybox arrived just as autumn was making its presence known.
September always feels like a bit of a reset, doesn’t it?
The summer holidays are over, routines start to fall back into place and suddenly everyone is talking about getting organised again.
New notebooks, fresh routines, a wardrobe clear-out… and apparently a new beauty box.
So when the September Glossybox arrived, I was intrigued to see what was inside.
This month’s theme is New Season Reset, which is all about getting back to the basics that actually work, with supportive skincare, practical make-up and those everyday beauty staples that help you feel a little more put together.
And actually, I quite like that idea.
After a summer of keeping things fairly minimal, September feels like a good time to get back into a proper skincare and make-up routine.
So, what’s inside the September Glossybox?
There are five products in this month’s box, including a couple of full-size products and some deluxe-size treats.
Delilah Lip Line Long Wear Retractable Lip Pencil in Vixen

This is a lovely spiced warm nude shade.
The Delilah Lip Line is a long-wearing, waterproof lip liner with a built-in brush and sharpener.
It has a creamy texture and is designed to stay put for up to 12 hours.
At £22.50, this is also the most expensive product in the box.
A warm nude is the sort of shade I can see getting plenty of use, particularly as we move into autumn.
I’m not someone who wants to spend ages carefully applying lip products, so the built-in sharpener and brush are a nice little bonus.
Full size – worth £22.50.
Natasha Denona I Need A Cool – 1 Pan

This is a deluxe-size sample from the Natasha Denona I Need A Cool Palette.
The full-size palette features 15 cool-toned shades, including taupes, smoky browns and neutral shades in mattes, metallics and sparkly finishes.
I’m quite intrigued by this one because cool-toned eyeshadow is definitely having a moment again.
The shade included in the Glossybox is a single pan rather than the full palette, so obviously it’s more of a taster than a full eyeshadow collection.
But it’s a nice way to try the formula without committing to a whole palette.
Deluxe size – worth £4.80.
Spectrum Collections Neutral Luxe A28 Flat Fluffy Shader

A make-up brush might not be the most exciting thing to unbox, but honestly, I’m always happy to get one.
This is a flat fluffy shader brush designed for applying eyeshadow across the lid.
The dense bristles are meant to pick up plenty of pigment and allow you to build up the colour.
It works with both cream and powder formulas, so it should be a useful addition to a make-up bag.
And because I’m terrible at remembering to replace old make-up brushes, this is actually the sort of practical beauty product I’ll use.
Full size – worth £7.99.
ARKIVE The Good Habit Hybrid Oil

Moving onto haircare, we have the ARKIVE The Good Habit Hybrid Oil.
It combines baobab and jojoba oils and is designed to add lightweight moisture and shine while nourishing the hair.
I’m always interested in anything that promises shine without leaving my hair looking greasy or weighed down.
The last thing I want from a hair oil is to look like I’ve dunked the ends of my hair in cooking oil, so lightweight is definitely the word I want to hear!
This is a deluxe-size product, so it should give me enough to have a proper try before deciding whether it’s something I’d buy again.
Deluxe size – worth £7.50.
Sugar Silk Beauty Soothing Mask

And finally, we have a face mask.
I’m always a fan of a good face mask, particularly as we head into autumn and my skincare routine starts to change.
The Sugar Silk Beauty Soothing Mask contains ingredients including aloe leaf water, glycerin and kaolin and is designed to calm, hydrate and refresh the skin.
It sounds like exactly the sort of thing I’d reach for after a long week when I want 15 minutes to myself.
It’s also suitable for all skin types and is designed to leave skin feeling softer, smoother and refreshed rather than dry.
Full size – worth £12.
My overall thoughts
Overall, I think September’s Glossybox is a pretty solid little selection.
I like that there’s a good mix of products rather than five variations of the same thing.
We’ve got make-up, a brush, haircare and skincare, so there’s something to try across the whole beauty routine.
I’m looking forward to trying the ARKIVE hair oil, particularly if it can give me a bit of shine without making my hair feel heavy.
And, of course, I’m never going to complain about a face mask.
The Natasha Denona eyeshadow is probably the one I’ll need to experiment with a little more to see how much use I get from it, but that’s one of the nice things about receiving smaller beauty products.
You get to try something new without having to buy the full-size version first.
Is the September Glossybox worth it?
For me, this feels like a nice new season beauty reset.
There’s nothing particularly wild or gimmicky in the box. Instead, it’s made up of products that are designed to slot into your everyday routine, which actually feels quite fitting for September.
It’s also a good reminder that a beauty reset doesn’t have to mean buying loads of new products.
Sometimes it’s just about finding a few things you enjoy using, getting back into a routine and making a little more time for yourself.
And if that happens to involve sitting on the sofa with a face mask on while trying out a new lip liner, then I’m definitely on board with that.
Now I just need to actually remember to use everything rather than putting it in the beauty drawer and forgetting about it…
Classic me.
