Unboxing May's Glossybox
Spring is certainly in the air with the pastels and tranquility theme of May’s Glossybox.
The May Daydreamer box is gorgeous with soft pastel hues with a range of products that are supposed to help transport you to a relaxing paradise.
Many fellow bloggers are searching for sumptuous cruelty-free products and this is covered in May’s Glossybox.
For those of you who are new to Glossybox it is a monthly beauty box subscription that is delivered right to your door. Details of how to sign up for yourself are at the end of this post.
What was inside May’s Daydreamer Glossybox?
This month saw five beauty treats plus an extra little treat for tea lovers.
Just for feet – Luxury Jelly Foot Soak RRP £4.99 (40g – 1 use)
GelSpa’s vegan-friendly Jelly Foot Soak is a specially developed piercer which turns water to gel.
I love the boxed packaging. When I opened it I saw it’s actually two sachets.
It has aromas of lavender and lemongrass to help you relax and unwind after a long day while the soak gently moisturises and soothes tired feet.
Afterwards you add the second step to magically turn to gel back to liquid. Very intriguing!
This sounds perfect for me given that I’m now training for my first half marathon – the Great North Run so my feet are taking a pounding! So I’m looking forward to trying this!
Maria Nila – True Soft Shampoo travel size RRP £3.98 (100ml) £12.98 (350ml)
This is a Swedish brand of vegan shampoo which is sulphate and paraben free. It has a gentle formula which is meant to soften, moisturise and strengthen the structure of your hair.
The recipe is meant to leave you with super shiny locks with frizz fighting ingredients – sounds heavenly.
I’ve never tried vegan shampoo and conditioner so looking forward to giving this a whirl!
Maria Nila – True Soft Conditioner travel size RRP £4.99 (100ml) £13.99 (350ml)
This conditioner completes the vegan hair care duo.
It is designed to reduce frizz and the loss of colour associated with washing and heat styling.
This is a multi-tasking product which can also be used as a deep conditioning mask by applying to damp hair after shampooing and leaving it on for three minutes before rinsing.
Trifle Cosmetics – Praline Palette full size RRP £15.55
This pastel palette is a dinky size in really pretty packaging. It includes six pigmented eyeshadows and a mirror.
The shades are darker than I expected ranging from a neutral bronze, khaki and deep eggplant.
They are formulated to be a creamy yet vivid colour with a velvety smooth texture and are 100% vegan and free from any nasty ingredients.
Kueshi – Facial Makeup Remover full size RRP £10.50
This is a lovely product designed to cleanse your troubles away with a calming makeup remover.
The clear solution is rich in soft oils and works with the blue solution to remove makeup gently while leaving your skin feeling refreshed and cleansed.
You’re supposed to shake before using to get the best out of it.
I’m a big lover of Micellar Water so looking forward to seeing how this compares.
The extra treat in the box this month is from an ethical London-based tea company.
I received the Earl Grey satchet. I’m not a tea lover so will take this to work for one of my colleagues to enjoy! The RRP is £2.99 for 15 tea bags.
What did I think of the April Glossybox?
I thought the design of the box was gorgeous – definitely one to keep. It’s nice to see the showcasing of vegan cruelty-free products from brands that are new to me. I think the products are all well-packaged and there’s a good mixture this month.
I think I will give every product a go except for the tea as I am not a tea-lover.
Having been a Glossybox subscriber for more than three years now I have decided to pause my subscription for the meantime as I have a lot of products built up which I am yet to try out.
I will then write reviews for the products I try out and share.
