Unboxing April’s Glossybox
My April Glossybox arrived with no issues and I’m really pleased with the contents of the box this month.
This month is dedicated to all things nostalgia – a fresh twist on old classics.
If you read my Double Glossybox unboxing post you will know I’ve been really unlucky with the last couple of boxes where I’ve had a few minor issues. I was credited £5 for my mistake item from my March box.
For those of you who are knew to Glossybox it is a monthly beauty box subscription that is delivered right to your door.
Details of how to sign up for yourself are at the end of this post.
What was inside the April Glossybox?

Karl Lagerfekd + ModelCo baker blush – light beige
Karl Lagerfekd + ModelCo baker blush – light beige
This is a Glossybox early exclusive and a launch date is yet to be released so there isn’t an RRP for this product.
I am a big fan of baked blushes but this one is a bit different as it brightens and highlights.
The packaging is lovely and as soon as you open the blush you can see the colour pigments popping.

Karl Lagerfekd + ModelCo baker blush – light beige
It’s a lovely colour and I think something you can wear on its own or on top of a more traditional pinky blush for extra radiance.

Glossybox angled brush
Glossybox angled brush worth £5.50 (Glossybox exclusive)
This brush is a multitasker – it can be used on your lips eyes or brows. It has smooth but firm bristles to give you more control.
I think this will be perfect for getting my brows on fleek! I love the signature Glossybox pink colour too.

Affect Cosmetics matt effect transparent loose rice powder
Affect Cosmetics matt effect transparent loose rice powder RRP £9.35
I’m new to rice powder and was very intrigued to try this out!
Rice powder is a combination of mica and rice starch which is supposed to give you a perfect matte finish.
Perfect for those spring days!
This is ideal for setting your makeup as it absorbs oils without giving you that dreaded cakey look.
It’s best to use this powder when your foundation is still wet by pressing it into your skin with a flat shaped brush or powder puff.

Eyeko London FAT liquid liner
Eyeko London FAT liquid liner RRP £16
This is a definite nod to the 60’s – think Twiggy with big bold lines! This is a smudge proof heavy ultra black thick liner.
I’ve never been a master of eyeliner so will try to give this a go!

Imperial Leather unicorn marshmallow foamburst
Imperial Leather unicorn marshmallow foamburst RRP £3.15 limited edition
I love the design on the bottle with the bold colours and unicorn!
The gel changes into a creamy cloud that leaves your skin feeling silky soft and sparkling clean – like you’ve got a little bit of Unicorn magic in the shower.
It smells lovely too!
What did I think of the April Glossybox?

Contents of the April Glossybox
I think the items within the box match the nostalgic theme of April really well.
The baked blush is perfect for lighter spring days, the shower gel smells divine and a multitasking brush is always welcome in my makeup bag.
I’m certainly curious to try to rice powder and nervous about trying out the eyeliner!
Overall I think this is a well-balanced box which is good value for money.

I have never mastered the skill to use eyeliner without looking singer of Kiss, while actually I want the Twiggy look 🙁
I voted for you! I guess in the last post I didn’t the thick-boxes. But now it worked 🙂
That made me chuckle! My issue is my eyes they water profusely when I try to do eyeliner so it looks like I’ve been swimming with my makeup on! Thank you so much for voting for me 🙂
I’ve purchased the Glossybox since January 2017 with a couple of months break mainly as I’m not a make up fan but I love seeing what you get & it’s always so nicely packaged 😊
It’s good that you can have a break as well 😊
Great products in there!
I used to subscribe.. . Got so much lively stuff but thing is I hardly wear makeup!
I prefer the tools and skincare than makeup products 😊
I collected a good amount… think I’m set for life lol!
I Really like the idea of a “nostalgia” themed box! But also, I don’t know how that beige blush would work… especially on my as my skin tone is deep
Jas xx
It’s more like a highlighter than a blush I would say! It was a good theme this month x
Glad you hadn’t problems with this months box! It’s interesting to see what you get to – unpacking the box and the surprise of seeing all the products would be the best bit for me! X
It’s like Christmas! I love it x
I do like the idea of this and paying for a few month’s subscription would make a lovely gift! maybe a gift to myself is on the cards – although the eyeliner in this one would be in my girl’s makeup bag by now!!
You can pay monthly or get a six monthly one! X
