The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter – review

I’ve been using The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter for more than a year now so thought it was time to share my review.

Following the facials in a flash event with Gemma and Sam from This is Mothership I finally ditched the makeup wipes back in 2020.

Instead, I’ve been using The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter with a face cloth, followed by my favourite Garnier Micellar Water.

The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter can help melt away makeup and all traces of impurities.

To use: simply massage the Camomile Cleansing Butter into your skin to melt the day away.

This purifying cleanser also helps to stop those hidden nasties from clogging up your pores, and used on the reg will keep skin feeling refreshed and nourished.

It comes in two sizes 20ml £5 or 90ml £11 so if you’re wanting to give it a try opt for the smaller one.

My overall thoughts on The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I am converted and I love it.

A little goes a long way with this cleansing butter, it’s lasted me for months.

This cleanser doesn’t feel greasy, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, or clog my pores (even though I’m prone to this), and it removes all my makeup – even red lipstick.

And because I’m trying to be more environmentally conscious – true to The Body Shop values – the packaging is totally sustainable.

It comes in a medium-sized tin, which is made from aluminium so it’s fully recyclable (or reusable if you’re in need of a handy tin).

And the price point is really good – £5 for the smaller size or £11 for the larger. They also do gift sets too.

I use about a 10p size amount of the cleansing butter for my entire face and neck, massaging onto dry skin for about 30 seconds. Then I remove it with a warm, wet face cloth.

After I pat my face dry I then finish off the cleansing routine with my Micellar Water, eye cream and moisturiser.

My skin is honestly in better condition when I wear makeup and use this as part of my daily routine.

It has a really nice smell and my skin just feels so refreshed, soft and calm after using it. If perfumed products trigger issues for your skin type, this might not be the cleanser for you.

I would definitely recommend The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter.
