Tropic Enchanted Facial (AD)

Tropic Enchanted Facial (AD)

16th June 2019 3 By Rachael Stray
With my hormones raging my skin hasn’t been looking it’s best so I jumped at the chance to have a Tropic Enchanted Facial with Ambient Beauty*.
Therapist and owner of Ambient Beauty, Amber invited me to have a relaxing Tropic Enchanted Facial in exchange for an honest review and the timing could not have been better.
Until the last couple of weeks my skin has been relatively ok during my pregnancy but as soon as I hit the 31 week mark it’s like I’m a teenager again!
So after my lovely afternoon in Morpeth for the VIP Maternity Experience at JoJo Maman Bébé I headed over to Gateshead for my appointment with Amber.
I recommend allowing yourself about two hours if you book in for a Tropic Enchanted Facial yourself; as before the treatment you have a general chat with Amber about your skincare regime, problem areas etc and then you have a proper consultation.
The treatment is a full hour too.
After your treatment you don’t want to rush about and ruin how relaxed you are; so I’d recommend you factor in some time to have a nice glass of water and a sit down.
Amber will also want to discuss after care with you too.

As part of the consultation we discussed my problem areas and my skincare regime which helps Amber identify the best products to use during your facial.
Amber then asked me to choose a face mask and facial oil specific for the area I wanted to target – I plumped for the clear skin and pure lagoon.
I also chose a lavender massage oil too.
I’d recommend tying your hair up and removing earrings, watches, bracelets and necklaces prior to your treatment.
Amber asks you to remove your top and have your arms free of your bra straps so no oil is transferred to your clothing during the massage part of the treatment.
The facial starts with a cleanse, then a deep cleanse followed by exfoliation, then toner.
Amber gave me an amazing top of back, shoulders and upper arm massage while the face mask settled.
After which she applied the eye cream, facial oil and the moisturiser as the last step.
I was also given a really lovely hand and arm massage which was so relaxing.
As I was 32 weeks pregnant Amber made sure I was comfortable, not lying flat and warm enough.
I think bump enjoyed the massage too as there were lots of kicks and movements throughout my treatment.
It was a real treat and I felt so relaxed after the treatment.
I really enjoyed the refreshing glass of water afterwards and I had a chat with Amber about aftercare and her ambitions for the future for the business, before I made my way home – feeling a lot lighter than when I’d arrived.

About Amber and Ambient Beauty

Amber is really passionate about skincare and that really comes across when you meet her.

Also her skin looks amazing.

The Tropic skincare range she uses is vegan and cruelty free and she’s also starting to use eco reusable cotton pads too.

Amber suffers from a chronic illness but she doesn’t let that stop her – she’s built her business from the ground up and it works around her needs and the clients too.

It’s obvious that she loves meeting new people and takes a genuine interest in others.

Amber also offers the following services:
  • Facials, spray tans, express lashes and nails (including pedicures) on a mobile basis
  • Appointments based in her own home Tuesday to Friday during the day time and occasional weekends
  • Girls’ pamper nights in (or afternoons)
  • Teenage birthday pampers, including skincare tutorials
  • Hen party pampering
  • Weddings, including a six month skincare program
  • Coming soon – make-up and make-up tutorials.

Amber also offers a reward for referral appointments. If you refer someone for a treatment they get half price off that appointment and you get half price off your next one.

She also has a loyalty card – for every six treatments you have you get a little stamp and on your seventh visit that treatment is free.

I’d 100% recommend the Tropic Enchanted Facial – my skin looks and feels so much better and I felt so incredibly relaxed afterwards. The usual cost is £38 for this treatment and I think it would be money really well spent.

I had a midwife appointment a couple of days after the facial and she even commented on how fresh faced and glowing I looked.

You can see a full list of services and prices as well as book an appointment on the Ambient Beauty Facebook page
