My overall thoughts on Remember my Name
Remember my Name is psychological thriller with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader invested.
I devoured this book in just a few sittings as I was gripped right from the start.
Cressida Howard suspects her husband may be having an affair and enlists the help from cyber security whizz Brioni O’Brien to get her evidence so she can file for divorce and get a good payout.
There’s a few strands going on within the plot – Laurence is a ladies man, he’s trying to secure a dodgy deal with a shady American business and will go to great lengths to make it happen, he thinks he’s untouchable.
While Laurence tries to blackmail his fellow board members someone is targeting the women closest to him trying to poison them.
And then his business is hit with by a cyber attack with personal details from clients being leaked on the internet and a murder happens in one of his hotels – could anything else go wrong for Laurence?
While all of this drama is unfolding, their teenage daughter Emily-Jane is up to no good on the internet with a mystery character – Danny Boy, just what is she getting herself involved in?
Each chapter is told from either Cressida, Emily-Jane or Brioni’s point of view so we get to see the different strands of the plot play out.
The drama and tension quicken in pace as we near the climatic end – will anyone get out unscathed?
