The February book from my Reading in Heels subscription was The Charmed Life of Alex Moore by Molly Flatt.

Avid readers will know that one of my presents for my 30th birthday from the hubby was a subscription for Reading in Heels.

My overall thoughts of The Charmed Life of Alex Moore

Well I absolutely loved the book.

It isn’t the kind of book I’d probably go for on the shelf but from the first paragraph I was hooked.

At times I found it quite difficult to put it down.

Having to go back to work after lunch or go to sleep was a bit annoying – I just wanted to keep reading on!

It’s a brave novel that takes ordinary fiction in an entirely new direction.

 

It asks the reader who is on a fictional but ‘normal life’ journey to imagine something new.

It’s fantastic and I didn’t see it coming that I’d be a sci-fi fan. 

Readers who are familiar with millennial approaches, pressures and demands or office management are more likely to connect with the story.

Alex’s world starts to implode as she uncovers the truth and you begin to like her as a character more and more as things start to get worse for her.

If you are looking for something different from the usual run of mill books, then I highly recommend The Charmed Life of Alex Moore.
