Clinique High Impact Mascara – review
After receiving a full size Clinique High Impact Mascara in the M&S beauty advent calendar and using it and loving it I thought I’d share an honest review.
I don’t usually like to spend a lot on makeup but I think this mascara is worth it.
Clinique High Impact Mascara product details
High Impact Mascara is a multi-benefit mascara that adds maximum volume with definition and length.
The specially developed brush and formula work together to dramatically thicken lashes while separating.
How to use:
• Apply to lashes: start at the base of the lash and brush up to the tip. Repeat to build.
My overall thoughts on Clinique High Impact Mascara
I have quite sensitive eyes and I don’t often get along with mascara but knowing that Clinique is trusted for its 100% fragrance-free and allergy-tested cosmetics gave me confidence.
The packaging is really lovely which is what I would expect from Clinique and I like the simple tube.

I also like that the brush has a classic uniform shape with slim hollow fiber bristles.
So even though the wand shape looks ordinary, it did a great job of evenly coating my lashes with mascara every time I pulled it from the tube.
This meant that I could take it from the tube straight to my lashes without spending time wiping away any excess – I am a busy working mam who has very little time to do my makeup!
I find the product quickly coats onto the lashes and they begin lengthening before your eyes.
Do take your time combing through each lash, as the wand deposits the makeup to avoid making a mess.
As well as having its fill of conditioning agents, the Clinique High Impact Mascara contains polymers that work as a flexible primer so that each coat of mascara binds to thicken the volume of lashes while keeping them looking and feeling natural and supple.
There’s a noticeable difference on the eye without mascara and the one with pictured below.

My lashes really do look longer after using this mascara and they don’t seem as fragile as they do when using other brands of mascara.
I find that the formula holds a curl in my eyelashes throughout the day and doesn’t succumb to flaking or fallout – I am not a fan of raccoon eyes!
And at the end of the day, I find it removes easily with either my No7 cleansing balm or the Body Shop chamomile cleansing balm.
Clinique’s High Impact Mascara lengthens and separates eyelashes from root to tip, creating a not-so-subtle transformation.
The overall effect was lovely with a naturally enhanced, soft, and gently lifted lash look, which I am really happy with.
I absolutely love the Clinique High Impact Mascara so much so I have bought another tube.
I’d definitely recommend this mascara.
