Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour – review (AD)

Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour – review (AD)

16th September 2020 5 By Rachael Stray

I was kindly gifted three cans of Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour in exchange for an honest review*.

As a busy working mam, I am a huge lover of dry shampoo and Batiste has been my go to brand of choice since my student days; so needles to say I was really excited to receive the Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour to try out.

They kindly sent three shades so I will be gifting the darker brunette and the blonde to two friends to try out for themselves.

The Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour refreshes your hair in-between washes with no white residue and a hint of colour that blends seamlessly with your hair, helping you to disguise root regrowth and grey hairs.

Now this is exactly what I need, the last few months has been incredibly stressful to say the least and I haven’t sat in the hairdressers chair since February so my very long (and grey in places) hair needs all the help it can get!

How to use Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour

1. Apply to the roots

Start by sectioning / parting your dry hair. Shake the Batiste Dry Shampoo well 1-2 times and hold the can 30cm away from head and spray at roots.

(Hair hack – for extra colour effect, spray all over your hair!)

2. Hand blend

Hand massage and blend the product into hair from the roots outward.

3. Dry & Settle

Let it settle and dry to absorb dirt and oils.

4. Style

Start styling it the way you want!

It’s really as quick and simple as that.

My overall thoughts on Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour

At the moment I, like millions of others, am working from home and have been since May so I’m sure I am not alone in doing fewer hair washes since lockdown began.

I haven’t had my hair cut since February so my locks are the longest they have been since before I got married so it takes an absolute age to wash and dry.

And because I am all about low maintenance and time saving when it comes to getting ready, if I can skip the washing and drying process I am a very happy bunny!

If it wasn’t for the dreaded Zoom and MS Teams video calls, I definitely wouldn’t be bothered about the state of my hair during the week.

However, I am on these a few times a day unfortunately, so I do try to make a little bit of an effort which is why the Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour has become a staple in my morning routine.

On a weekday morning, I get Elsie dressed and then I’ve got just 15 minutes to get myself washed dressed and Elsie all ready to go to do the nursery run.

So I have a quick spritz of dry shampoo which I work in by hand and then I get myself washed and dressed and once that’s all soaked in I style and go!

This is perfect to use between washes and whenever your hair needs a bit of a refresh and I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I’m really happy to welcome it to my beauty regime.

A quick burst of the dry shampoo and it revitalises your hair, removing any excess grease and your hair is left feeling really clean with added body and texture.

My hair doesn’t feel back to full pre-baby thickness yet so having added body and texture is a real bonus for me.

I don’t often wear my hair down as Elsie is really into grabbing and tugging my hair; so I usually wear it in a plait or high pony tail, I think using this dry shampoo helps to keep my hair in place better.

The hint of colour compliments my lighter brunette locks and helps blend in root re-growth on coloured hair.

If we do go into another proper lockdown then I think the Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour in your preferred shade would be a good investment to have in.

The Batiste Dry Shampoo & Hint of Colour is really easy to use and gives really good results, it’s a thumbs up from me.
