Nordgreen watch – review (AD)
I was kindly gifted a Nordgreen watch in exchange for an honest review*.
Instead of choosing a watch for myself I decided my husband deserved a treat for being so supportive and amazing.
After perusing the fabulous collections on the Nordgreen website he finally settled on the Philosopher style watch.

Nordgreen’s Philosopher is designed to celebrate our ability to think differently, learn from the past, act now, and create a better future.
The conical shaped case has a wider base than face, creating a sharp two piece dial that draws the eye to the centre of the timepiece, to the now.
Asymmetric, the second hand stands out to provide a beautiful and sleek way to tell time.
The watch case has a thickness of 7.2 mm / 7.84 mm with a case width of 36 mm / 40 mm.
Nordreen have inter-changeable straps which allow you to customise your chosen watch to your preferred style.
The elevated watch case, clean brushed look, and tugging lugs provide the finishing touches to the unique design of the watch.
Steve opted for the gun metal grey 36mm Philosopher with gun metal strap.
Our order was shipped and arrived really quickly given the current situation.
It was carefully packaged in a cardboard box which was only a little larger than the watch case itself so no unnecessary packaging.
And because Nordgreen has formed partnerships with sustainable manufacturers, all packaging is recyclable.
Nordgreen boxes their watches in a beautiful long matte blue box made from recycled paper and felt.

Because of the long packaging, unboxing it creates an element of suspense. As you slowly open the box you get to view the entire watch, band and all.
The watch rests on a padded felt base and is secured by two elastic bands.
This box is the perfect size for gifting, but for some you might find it a little large to keep on a dresser or bedside table it isn’t a problem for us though.
It’s really easy to adjust the watch strap so it fits your wrist and preferred level of slackness or tightness.

Aside from a beautiful and stylish watch and recyclable packaging, when you purchase a watch from Nordgreen:
There are three NGO’s which customers can choose among:
1. Preservation for 200 sq. ft. of Latin America’s rain forest
2. Supply 2 months of education to India’s children
3. Supply 2 months of water to Central African children

Classically simple yet elegant, each watch has a serial number which allows Nordgreen to track donations made with each watch purchase.
Sustainable and socially responsible, Nordgreen’s values are reflected in their Giving Back Programme.
After much deliberation between the three very worthy causes we chose the rain forest.

Nordgreen’s an ethical company that sticks closely to their Danish roots and principles and I think their watches are a timeless classic pieces that are affordable yet luxurious.
I think I’d go for one of the women’s rose gold watches as they are stunning and classic for myself.
Steve’s overall thoughts on the Nordgreen Philosopher watch

A huge thank you to Nordgreen for this beautiful timepiece which Steve will treasure.
