My overall thoughts on Ritual Demise
Ritual Demise is the seventh instalment in the Cavendish and Walker series by Sally Rigby but it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone book.
We see a different turn in the psych of the perpetrator in Ritual Demise. This killer leaves a signature item with each body but is killing each victim in a different way – what connects the victims and who is behind the murders?
What is the significance of the dump site and why are they resting their heads on an emblazoned cushion?
There’s lots of intrigue and mystery but dynamic duo Whitney and George are on the case.
In this book we get more insight into George and see her dealing with family issues. Meanwhile outside of the case Whitney has her past come back and the identity of Tiffany’s father is revealed.
Rigby does a great job of adding more layers to the main characters as well as adding a sense of mystery to Jamieson.
We also get a little more information from some of the other regular cast of characters.
The characters in this series are great and develop more and more with each novel, I’m looking forward to what the duo take on in the next story!
Can George and Whitney solve it and stop the murders before there are more?
This is a very gripping and well written story which I really enjoyed.

Sally Rigby was born in Northampton, in the UK. She has always had the travel bug, and after living in both Manchester and London, eventually moved overseas. From 2001 she has lived with her family in New Zealand (apart from five years in Australia), which she considers to be the most beautiful place in the world.
After writing young adult fiction for many years, under a pen name, Sally decided
to move into crime fiction. Her Cavendish & Walker series brings together two headstrong, and very different, women – DCI Whitney Walker, and forensic psychologist Dr Georgina Cavendish.
Sally has a background in education, and has always loved crime fiction books, films and TV programmes. She has a particular fascination with the psychology of serial killers.
