I’ve been using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Tubes Mascara for a while now so thought I’d share an honest review.*
As a sensitive eyes girly, I’m constantly searching for a mascara that doesn’t leave me looking like a panda halfway through the day.
If you also struggle with watery eyes, you’ll know just how difficult it is to find one that stays put without irritating your eyes.
I’ve always been a fan of Maybelline products.
I’ve been using the Grippy Serum Primer for over a year now, recently added the setting spray to my routine, and both have become everyday staples.
Mascara, however, has always been the trickiest product for me.
I can’t even wear eyeliner because my eyes water so much, so finding a mascara that lasts without smudging or making my eyes sore has been an ongoing mission.
My First Impressions of Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Tubes Mascara
When I heard about the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Tubes Mascara, I was intrigued and then lucky enough to be sent one to try.
Tubing mascaras have become increasingly popular thanks to their smudge-proof finish and easy removal, and the fact that this one is specifically suitable for sensitive eyes made me want to give it a try.
After using it for the past few months, I can honestly say I’m impressed.
The formula glides onto the lashes beautifully, building length without feeling heavy or clumpy.
The unique Tubing Extender Brush does a fantastic job of separating each lash, and the little sphere tip makes it easy to reach those tiny inner corner lashes that often get missed.
Does Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Tubes Mascara Smudge?
This is where it really shines.
Usually by lunchtime I’ve got mascara transferring under my eyes, especially if the weather is warm or my eyes have been watering. With the Sky High Tubes Mascara? Nothing.
No panda eyes.
No smudging.
No flaking.
It stays exactly where you put it, even after a full day of wear in the recent heatwave and on holiday in 30+ degree heat.
The Best Part… Removing It!
If you’re anything like me, you’ll know that taking mascara off can sometimes be worse than wearing it.
Most mascaras leave behind black residue that somehow ends up in your eyes, leaving them feeling red, sore and irritated. I absolutely hate that horrible gunky feeling.
This mascara removes completely differently.
Using just warm water, the tiny tubing polymers gently slide off your lashes without any rubbing or tugging.
There’s no messy black residue, no stinging eyes and, most importantly for me, no sore, watery eyes afterwards.
Honestly, this has been one of my favourite things about it.
Why I Think the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Tubes Mascara Works So Well
The formula wraps each lash in tiny flexible tubes rather than coating them with traditional pigment. This gives your lashes impressive length while helping prevent smudging throughout the day.
It also contains shea butter and castor oil, so although it delivers long, defined lashes, it doesn’t leave them feeling dry or brittle.

For me, absolutely.
Finding makeup that works with sensitive, watery eyes can feel impossible, so discovering a mascara that gives lovely length without irritation has been such a win.
I love that I don’t have to constantly check for smudges during the day, and removing it at night is genuinely effortless.

The Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Tubes Mascara has quickly earned a permanent place in my makeup bag. It’s one of those products that actually delivers on its promises: long, defined lashes, all-day wear, zero smudging and incredibly easy removal.
As someone with sensitive, watery eyes, that’s not something I say lightly.
If you’re looking for a mascara that stays put all day but comes off effortlessly with warm water, this one is well worth adding to your beauty wishlist.
