My overall thoughts on Kalopsia
This was the first book I’ve read by Lucinda Lamont and I really enjoyed the writing style and story. I found Kalopsia an excellent read.
From the very first page I clicked with protagonist Kate and just wanted her to get the courage to ditch Tom – she’s worth much more than him.
Kate is very relatable character – she’s flawed and definitely not perfect but she’s real, open and vulnerable.
Her mentally abusive relationship with Tom is a little scary to be honest and I think a lot of women will empathise with Kate – it’s not easy to just end a relationship especially when you’re a step parent and you’re genuinely frightened of your partner.
Her flirty banter with her big boss Greg comes as a bit of a surprise for Kate – is there more to this flanter?
I liked this modern take on a romance. Kate is fierce in her career but needs more courage and self belief in her personal life.
Is Greg Mr Right? Will she leave everything behind for Barcelona?
You’ll have to pick up this page turner for yourself.
For me it was a real page turner and it finished with a cliff hanger! Will there be a sequel perhaps? If there is I’d like to read it.
About Lucinda Lamont
Lucinda is 31 years old in lives in Hampshire. Born in Aberdeenshire, she spent the early years of her life in a small fishing town before relocating with her mother to the South Coast.
She is the middle child and only girl with four brothers.
Lucinda began her higher education in studying Performing Arts and then began a degree in Law (but dropped out). She is a qualified hairdresser but the arts always drew her back in and she took up an interest in writing which she now plans to continue to make a career out of.
Mother of one, a baby boy, she works part time for a Business publication and spends her spare time soaking up the Hampshire countryside and plotting her next stories.
