In this latest guest post Alyssa Moylan talks about how you can quit smoking through hypnotherapy.

Quitting smoking is a challenge which you must take to maintain your health. We all know the ill effects of smoking on our health and how it increases the risk of lung cancer. Apart from that, smoking causes heart attacks, strokes, lung problems, bone infection, and cataracts.

You can find different ways or products like lozenges, patches and chewing gums to quit smoking. But they have some chemicals which are equally dangerous for your health. In this case, you can go for the quit-smoking hypnotherapy process.

“Smoking is one of the leading causes of all statistics.”

Liza Minnelli

Hypnosis is an alternative stage of awareness that can improve your mental health. Clinical hypnosis is generally applied for understanding and recovering physical or psychological problems.

For example, doctors can apply clinical hypnotism to reduce the pain of a patient. Apart from that, hypnotherapy can be applied to quit smoking, alcohol consumption, and weight loss. Smoking is an addiction and any kind of addiction can be prevented by advanced hypnotherapy.

Quit Smoking Hypnotherapy Process

There are some controversies related to the Quit smoking hypnotherapy process. According to some researchers, hypnotherapy cannot help you to quit smoking because it is a clinical process that can improve your concentration power. Hypnosis does not mean to deal with your unconscious mind and this but only with the subconscious mind.

During the hypnotherapy, the doctor can measure the neurological activity and they can enter your subconscious mind. Then they can put some positive suggestions against smoking in your subconscious mind and with the repetition of the same statements, they can convince you to quit smoking without any medication.

  • During Quit smoking hypnotherapy treatment, patients may be asked to imagine some unpleasant outcomes from smoking. The hypnotherapist can help you to learn some side effects of smoking like, smoking can leave some patches inside your mouth and destroy your life by lung infections.
  • Quit smoking hypnotherapy can focus on three main ideas like smoking is poisonous, you need to live a healthy life and you should respect your body and protect it from smoking.
  • Apart from that, Quit smoking hypnotherapy can also help you to prevent smoking within a few months. Therapists generally teach you some self-hypnosis process and you can repeat the same whenever you desire to smoke.
  • But in many cases, Quit smoking hypnotherapy does not work because patients cannot get hypnotised by the therapists. The intensity of hypnosis can vary from person to person. You must consult with your doctor and try the hypnotherapy once. After noticing a positive outcome, go for further sessions.
  • However, hypnosis is not recommended by the American Medical Association and they believe that hypnotherapy cannot help you to quit smoking. But you can go for the hypnotherapy process to quit smoking and you can improve your mental strength through this process.

How Would You Quit Smoking By Hypnotherapy?

As stated above that hypnotherapy is not a medication process, and you do not need to follow any medication to get rid of your smoking habit. So, it is better to go for such a natural process rather than consuming some harmful substance like chewing gums. Hypnotherapy for quit smoking can take several months and you need to go through some sessions.

Therapists will check your mental stage and sketch out the hypnotherapy process that is suitable for you. Then they will start their treatment and make you hypnotise. Once you are hypnotised, the therapist will start putting some positive comments or statements against smoking in your subconscious mind. Afterwards, you can quit smoking by self-hypnosis process, and you can learn such treatments from the therapists.

The best time to quit smoking was the day you started, the second best time to quit is today.

So, now you can search for the best therapists in your town and consult with them to quit smoking. You will find some positive results in their treatments, then you can go for further procedures.
