Easytots Unicorn Mini Mat – review (AD)

Since Elsie started weaning we’ve been using the Easytots range and they kindly sent us the new Unicorn Mini Mat* as a thank you.

I love the look of the Unicorn Mini Mat it is just really gorgeous with the swirling pattern and colours, very pretty.

We’ve used it as a lunch box when visiting Northumberland Country Zoo keeping Elsie’s lunch firmly in place until it was time for her to eat.

It comes with a lid cover and a zip lock case so you can pop into your bag without worrying about the mess.

The sides of the mat tuck under itself so it becomes more compact and you can easily slide it into the zip lock case with the lid on and the mess is contained and you can simply pop it inside your bag to clean up when you get home.

It is BPA Free and made of 100% LFGB food grade silicone.

The Mini Mat is also dishwasher, oven (up to 200 degrees) and microwave proof.

We mainly use it on the Ikea Antiplop highchair tray and the suction pads are really easy to use and actually hold!

Very good suction is really important if you want to avoid the whole meal going the journey and avoid a big mess.

Each section within the Mini Mat is curved which is such a clever design as it helps little ones to scoop up their food and again to minimise the mess.

I am all about minimising the clean up.

I find the Easytots range really easy to clean and it’s rare that we put them into the dishwasher as it’s usually so full but it’s brilliant that the range is dishwasher proof as it’s such a timesaver.

Unlike some other popular weaning dining ranges there’s no upkeep necessary with Easytots – no oiling or anything like that.

Elsie is really getting to grips with the cutlery which is the perfect size for little hands and the curved design helps them to actually get food onto the fork or spoon and into their mouths.
