For adults, the book captures the weirdness and wonder of a year where so much changed in our world … and in our households.

My overall thoughts on The Year We Muddled Through

The Year We Muddled Through is just such a lovely book that captures so much of what we all went through in 2020.

I felt quite emotional sitting down to read this with Elsie.

The way it is written is heartwarming, magical, and emotional.

It is a really stunningly beautiful book and the illustrations really bring it all to life and the lovely rhyming story shows the magic and positive side of 2020.

There is something in this story for both adults and children alike.

For the little ones like Elsie, there is a tale of rainbows, giant sunflowers, and magical rainbows.

And for the adults, there is something more – small reminders of a year that saw the world changed so completely.

The Year We Muddled Through is a book that I think perfectly captures the essence of 2020.

Each time you pick it up you will be reminded of a memory you and your family made and how even though it was incredibly tough, it was also at times quite magical.

I would highly recommend The Year We Muddled Through to parents of young children or anyone who wants a keepsake to remember the year 2020 by.
