Pizzeria at The Feathers Inn – review
On a warm Saturday evening in May, we finally got around to trying the pizzeria at The Feathers Inn—and it’s safe to say it was well worth the wait.
Steve and I enjoyed a date night at the Feathers Inn and promised we’d return as a family for a pizza night.
Tucked away in the garden area of the pub, the pizzeria has a relaxed, rustic charm that immediately sets the tone for a laid-back evening.
With the scent of freshly baked pizzas in the air and people gathered around picnic tables, it felt like the perfect spot to ease into the long bank holiday weekend.
The pizzeria runs from 5pm to 8pm every Friday and Saturday from May through to the last weekend in August, making it an ideal seasonal treat.
And now that Elsie has firmly declared herself a pizza fan, it felt like the perfect opportunity to bring her along too.
Ordering is simple—you place your food order outside at the pizza area, then pop inside to the bar for drinks.

It’s a casual setup that works really well and adds to the whole experience.
As expected, Steve went straight for the pepperoni.
I kept things classic with a margherita, while Elsie opted for what was essentially a ham pizza.
We also added fries and a garlic pizza bread to share—because it would be rude not to.
Once we’d ordered and secured a table, I headed inside to grab drinks: an orange juice for Elsie, a lemonade for Steve, and a Coke for me.
Service was quick and efficient—we barely had time to settle before our number was called and Steve went to collect the food.
It’s also worth noting that takeaway is available, which we saw a few people making use of—definitely a good option for a cosy night in.
The pizzas themselves were excellent: piping hot, generously topped, and oozing with cheese.
The bases were thin with just the right amount of crisp, giving that perfect balance of light and satisfying.
The garlic bread was equally delicious, and the fries were a pleasant surprise—crispy, well-seasoned, and far better than your average side.
For families, it’s a great find.
There are free outdoor games to keep children entertained, and it’s dog-friendly too, which adds to the welcoming, community feel.

All in all, it was a lovely Saturday evening—simple, relaxed, and full of good food.
A perfect little local gem for the summer months, and one we’ll definitely be returning to.

Opening times:
- Thursday – Friday 12:00pm – 11:00pm
- Saturday 10am – 11pm
- Sunday 12:00pm till 7:00pm
Restaurant Food Serving Times:
- Thursday to Saturday 12-2pm & 6-8.30pm.
- Sunday 12-4.30pm.
Bakery: Saturday Mornings from 10 am till 12 noon.
No bookings taken for the bakery, just come along. Order your baked goods at the bar to take home or enjoy here and sit back with a coffee.
Pop Up Pizzeria: Open Friday and Saturdays (from Easter until the last weekend of Augusy)– no reservations taken for pizzas.
Just come along and order directly at the pizza kitchen.
5-8pm in the Yard.
