Blog logo design with Klassic Studio (AD)

Blog logo design with Klassic Studio (AD)

21st August 2019 3 By Rachael Stray

I now have a fabulous logo for my blog thanks to the very talented Karen from Klassic Studio*.

Ever since I went self-hosted with my blog last year, I’ve been desperate for a logo to make everything look more professional and branded.

Graphic design is not really my skill set and with having a new baby I didn’t have the budget for such an investment.

So, when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Karen to work her magic and create a fabulous logo for my blog; in exchange for an honest review I absolutely jumped at the chance.

Before Karen began to create my fantastic logo she asked me to read through her Client Welcome Pack.

This set the scene for what to expect with the whole process which was really simple and I didn’t have to do very much at all.

We communicated via email which was convenient and easy for both of us.

The logo design involves a unique creative process, starting off with a mood board and eventually developing into the final design.

For Karen to create the mood board she needed to get to know me and my blog a little better.

She sent me a list of questions to answer including what my brand motto is, the purpose of my logo, did I have any specific elements I would want to be featured, colour schemes and any specific deadlines so she could begin the mood board process.

The next step for Karen is to start her research and then create the mood board which gave me an idea of the general vibe of my brand and included logo inspirations, images, colour palettes and fonts for me to choose from.

This was emailed through to me and I then had to choose the elements I liked from the mood board so Karen could begin the next step of the initial design concepts.

Karen then took the elements from the mood board I liked and created two initial logo design concepts and sent them through via email.

I had to choose my favourite logo from the two, or elements from both which she could then develop through the next stage of the process.

I provided Karen with some feedback and some tweaks which I would like to be made which she really took on board.

Karen took on board my comments and sent me through a couple of variations of the logo for further feedback and final approval.

Then Karen sent me through the zip file including the finished logo in various sizes so I can use on social media, my blog and for any merchandise if I so wished to.

Throughout the whole process Karen was really open to my feedback and thoughts and I felt really involved.

I absolutely love my new logo and the other colour variations and I feel like my blog looks much more professional now. By changing my social headers to include the logo I feel much more “on brand”.

Karen also offers other services including:

  • Email signature
  • Instagram highlight covers
  • Media kits
  • Business card design
  • Stickers design and print

A massive thank you to Karen for all of her hard work and for creating such a fabulous logo which I love.

You too can hire a professional logo designer and work with Karen and I would absolutely recommend her design services.

Karen is extremely professional and talented and will really listen to what you require and turn your vision into a reality.

About Karen

Hi there! My name is Karen and I am a digital marketer by day, lifestyle blogger and graphic designer by night. I started blogging about a while back and during this process a lot of people showed interest in my graphic design skills. I had the opportunity to help a few bloggers and small businesses all around the world design their logos.
This was when I decided to start a sub-brand, Klassic Studio, embracing my creative skills to help others develop their unique tone of voice. While I am focusing more on logos at the moment, I am looking forward to branching out to different aspects and help create more pretty brands!
