Wax melts and diffuser review of the Northumberland Candle Company (AD)
Relaxing in a bubble bath with a delicious aroma from a wax melt is my idea of self-care heaven and thanks to the Northumberland Candle Company this is now a reality in my home*.
I was kindly gifted a wax melt burner, a selection of fabulously fragrant soy wax melts and a delightful diffuser from local business the Northumberland Candle Company.
These gifts arrived just as I was discharged from hospital with baby Elsie so the timing was really good for some self-care treats for a new mammy.

What did I receive from the Northumberland Candle Company?

Lux 100ml diffuser – warmth inspired by Tom Ford Tobacco & Vanilla this is £19 and you can choose between a gold or silver screw neck colour and what colour the diffuser is from gloss white, matt black or matt grey.
White owl burner is £10 and there’s quite a wide range of wax melt scent choice.
Heart shaped shimmering melts £4.50. They currently only come in one scent Love, which is inspired by Dior -j’adore.
Soy wax melts £5. To use simply place the melt on a burner and leave and enjoy the delightful aroma. Melts usually last 2-3 days depending on burning conditions.
Wax melts give off a stronger fragrance as they do not have a flame extinguishing the fragrance.
My overall thoughts on the products from the Northumberland Candle Company
Everything was carefully packaged and wrapped so it arrived in perfect condition.
I was given quite a selection of fragrances of the soy wax melts and they all smell really gorgeous. I’m sure there is a scent for everyone covered on their website!
The diffuser has such a lovely smell without being too overbearing, it also looks really stylish too. My husband isn’t a huge fan of diffusers he says they give him a headache; so as much as I’d love to have this pride of place in the living room it’s actually in the main bathroom which he doesn’t use but I do and so do guests.
The white owl burner is quite cute actually and feels safer to use than a bare candle. I’ve used it a few times when having a shower and I’m really looking forward to having a nice relaxing bubble bath with the burner on and properly making my way through the selection of sample soy wax melts.
I think it’s great that you can also choose some soy wax samples which are a bargain at just £1 each – a great way to try out before you buy larger melts.
The heart shaped shimmering melt not only looks good but smells it too – definitely one of my favourite scents the Northumberland Candle Company offer.

Absolutely love candles and used to dabble in making some when I was quite young.
