My overall thoughts on A Cornish Recipe for Murder
A Cornish Recipe for Murder is the first book I have read in the Nosey Parker books but it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone as I did.
I am a big Great British Bake Off fan and the baking roadshow competition in the book is very similar and Jodie Parker has been selected as a contestant.
She is an ex-MET copper who is in a relationship with DCI Nathan Withers and her catering business is doing well.
There are a few characters on set, including her fellow contestants, judges and even a drag queen! There’s tension on set between one of the runners and one of the judges.
And then a body is discovered and the grounds are flooded with detectives and CSI teams and of course Jodie can’t help but be a nosey parker and assist with the detective work.
Will Jodie manage to juggle the competition and her urge to solve the murder?
This was a great story, filled with the twists and turns.
A really great read!
