The Great British Pre-Loved Awards with Sudocrem (AD)
This summer, Sudocrem, the ultimate multi-tasking skincare brand, launched the first ever awards dedicated to celebrating the love of pre-loved – The Great British Pre-Loved Awards.
With more people are buying pre-loved items over new the thrift revolution has well and truly started,
Over the last five years, the UK clothes resale market has grown by a staggering 149%* and with more than a third of the UK public** buying more second-hand items, the trend of “slow fashion” is only going to grow.
Personally I think this is only a good thing – fast fashion has a huge environmental impact.
More than simply a trend, it’s a new way of British living – of being environmentally aware – and with the feelgood factor thrown in!
Sudocrem is supporting the trend with the first ever awards dedicated to celebrating the love of pre-loved and they’ve enlisted the help of Brogan Sommerville, 2022 finalist on The Great British Sewing Bee, to launch and judge the Sudocrem Pre-Loved Awards.
Sudocrem are searching for the individuals and retailers who champion the win-win merits of thrifting.
“We want to celebrate the people and places who fly the flag for pre-loved fashion and give pre-loved clothes another moment in the spotlight,” says Alice Bamford, Senior OTC Marketing Manager for Sudocrem.
“Helping families to save money is at the heart of what we do and when we launched Sudocrem Naturals, which is fully recyclable, we took a big step forward to becoming a more sustainable brand. The Sudocrem Pre-Loved Awards is part of our ongoing commitment to encourage recycling and reusing.”
There are six categories to enter in Sudocrem’s Pre-loved Awards, from Mum and Baby to Senior, to Young Professional.
There’s also Best Charity or Vintage Shop, Best Pre-loved Online and Best Vintage Fair/Market.

Everyone who enters goes into a prize draw to win a £1,000 Airbnb voucher and Airbnb vouchers worth £200 will be presented to the category winners.
The competition launches on 5 June 2023 and remains open until 31 August 2023.
