Popcorn Shed – review (AD)
Popcorn for me is one of my favourite snacks whether you’re at the cinema, binge watching your favourite show or catching up with friends over picky food.
So when the opportunity to sample and review some delicious-sounding flavoured popcorn arose I absolutely jumped at the chance!
I was lucky enough to be sent* an 80g packet of the Salted Caramel flavour in the quirky Popcorn Shed namesake packaging.
To further tantalise my taste buds I also received a little selection of some of their smaller packets in flavours: Berry-licious, Butterly Nuts, Pop ‘n’ Choc, Sweet Cheesus, Pecan Pie and Say Cheese.
As soon as the box of tasty treats arrived I couldn’t wait to get tucked in!

An introduction to Popcorn Shed
Popcorn Shed is the UK’s first super-premium gourmet popcorn brand which has texture incorporated in each mouthful through chunks of nuts, chocolate and dried fruit, to maximise the taste.
It’s made using an artisan cooking process by producing a fresh caramel batch with each production run.
The popcorn is tumbled in fresh caramel before being scattered with melted chocolate, nuts and dried fruit. This ensures a deep, rich flavour and provides a lovely texture to every single kernel – delicious.
It is a home-grown, family owned and operated business, established in Great Britain.
I love the fact that each box of their gourmet popcorn is designed to look like a shed but the smaller packets are really cute too.
All of their popcorn is suitable for vegetarians and completely gluten free.
My thoughts on Popcorn Shed flavours
Pecan Pie
Butterly Nuts
Mixing classic peanut butter spread and popcorn is the Butterly Nuts flavour.
I shared this bag with my not-so little brother and we both enjoyed this flavour.
This feels like a classic flavour combination and works so well together. The peanut flavour isn’t overwhelming.
Berry-licious
Berry-licious has a subtle raspberry tang to it, with the dark chocolate definitely being the overriding flavour. It’s not too bitter or too tart.
Avid readers will know I’m a milk chocolate lover but actually the dark chocolate and berry combo worked together really well.
Say Cheese
Pop ‘n’ Choc
You can’t go wrong with chocolate and popcorn!
Pop ‘N’ Choc uses Belgian chocolate and has just the right balance of sweet and bitter to compliment the popcorn.
I tucked into this flavour for a post-meeting pick-me-up at work and it did the job!
Sweet Cheesus
Initially I wasn’t too sure what to make of Sweet Cheesus as it smells very cheesy, but surprisingly the taste is quite subtle.
You get the caramel sweetness first, followed by a mild cheese aftertaste which works!
Salted Caramel
My favourite flavour of them all was the Salted Caramel – it was a lovely combination of chocolate and caramel with a slight hint of saltiness.
This flavour won a Great Taste award in 2016 so you know it is something special!
This would be my go-to Popcorn Shed flavour of choice.
Would I recommend Popcorn Shed?
I really recommend the Popcorn Shed popcorn. It isn’t as cheap as other brands available in the supermarket but the price reflects that this is an artisan product, lovingly made by hand and using top quality ingredients.
It was such a treat to be sent these amazing flavours of popcorn to review and I will definitely be recommending them to others.
A big thank you Laura and Sam for ‘popping’ these in the post to me!

I love popcorn! I’ve actually tried Pop ‘n’ Choc before, it was in a subscription box and it was sooo good! I am interested to try the cheese flavours, I mean I love cheese and I love popcorn but never tried them together so I need to keep a eye out of it. Thanks for sharing your review Rachael, I am craving some popcorn right now 🙂 <3 xx
