El Pincho Durham – review
We enjoyed a day date to El Pincho Durham so thought I’d share an honest review.
About El Pincho Durham
El Pincho is a Mediterranean bar and restaurant.
Immerse yourself in opulance and indulge in fine food, cocktails, luxury gins, vodkas, rums, craft ales and crisp lagers.
My overall thoughts on El Pincho Durham
I had heard really good things about El Pincho and I wasn’t disappointed.
It was fairly quiet on a dreary Thursday in late November when we visited but that didn’t surprise or put me off.
El Pincho have a special offer on where you get 25% off your entire bill on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday between 12pm and 5pm which we took advantage of.

After perusing the menu tapas was definitely what we both wanted.
We opted for spicy meatballs, spicy flank steak, king prawns with chorizo, patatas bravas and an artisan bread platter with balsamic dip and Cumberland sauce.
While we waited for our food to arrive we enjoyed sipping on our drinks an apple riser for Steve and a Coca Cola for yours truly.
El Pincho is very Instagramable – lots of twinkly lights, wall murals and foliage to snap away at.

After a short wait our dishes arrived and we immediately got stuck straight in.
The bread was still warm and I enjoyed dipping it into the prawn and chorizo sauce the most.

The spicy flank steak was particularly tasty but of course the prawns were my favourite dish!

I enjoyed the meatballs which were a great size although they were a little dry.

The patatas bravas could’ve had more of the lovely sauce but were still nice.
Everything was really delicious and I think we ordered just the right amount of food between the two of us.
We ate every morsel of food and were left satisfied.
Before leaving I popped to the ladies and they were very clean with paper towels and a hand dryer available.

The full length mirror is perfect for a cheeky selfie!

Steve confirmed the gents were also clean.
El Pincho also do an array of cocktails and do a deal of 2 for £12 from 3pm-5pm Sunday to Friday.
If Sangria is more up your street they do a special offer – order six pinchos from the menu and a jug of sangria for £30 available from 12pm-5pm every Saturday.
And bottomless brunch with cocktails or Prosecco is available see their website for further information and other offers.
I would definitely return to El Pincho it’s a place you could go with friends, on a date or with workmates.
