Simba Hybrid duvet – review (AD)
I was kindly given a Simba Hybrid duvet in exchange for an honest review*.
As part of my 5 intentions for 2024 I want to up my game when it comes to self-care and a big part of that is making sure I get enough good quality sleep which is why I was so excited to try out the Simba Hybrid duvet.

My overall thoughts on the Simba Hybrid duvet
My Simba Hybrid duvet was dispatched and delivered very quickly once ordered and I couldn’t wait to open it.
It was packaged well and encased in a sturdy storage bag made from recycled materials and I will definitely be putting the storage bag to good use!
I noticed straight away that the Simba Hybrid duvet was very different to any other duvet I have used before.
It felt luxurious and extremely soft and I couldn’t wait to get it on my bed and to test it out for myself.
Living in the North East of England, our weather can be unpredictable to say the least and we can often get several seasons in a day.
I really find the changeover of summer and winter duvet a challenge – do it too soon and you’re either too hot or too cold and you do not get a good night’s sleep.
The Simba Hybrid duvet has been engineered for cool comfort with a cotton outer with Stratos® heat control technology which draws heat away and provides an instant cooling sensation.
The cotton cover which is the plain side ensures breathability and airflow.
It is made with super-soft Simba Renew Bio™ fibres which provides perfect, non-clammy warmth.
And the keeping you warm and cool clever temperature tech works even when it’s in a cover.
The Simba Hybrid duvet is stitched into squares to prevent clumping.
If you have a large enough machine, it’s machine washable and dries more quickly due to the lightness and nature of the fill fibres.
On one label is a handy QR code to give you easy access to recycling or care advice.
There’s also another label at the foot end of the duvet, so you’ll always know which way round it goes.
We’ve been using the Simba Hybrid duvet for a month now and I’m completely converted.
As most parents will relate to, we rarely get an undisturbed full night of sleep because we usually get woken up by our 4-year-old.
With our standard duvet I would wake up clammy and stumble through to settle Elsie but with the Simba Hybrid duvet I genuinely don’t.
Last week I wore a short sleeved pyjama set to bed and thought I’d be too cold but I was still nice and toasty thanks to the clever tech of the Hybrid duvet.
I really think the clever folk at Simba have thought of everything when it comes to the design of this duvet.
There’s so much about the Simba Hybrid duvet which makes this a brilliant product – being able to use it all year-round because it keeps you warm or cool depending on the temperature is a game changer and the way it’s made is such thoughtful design.
It is made from recycled PET bottle fibres and even the cotton is responsibly sourced.
Simba are part of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a not-for-profit organisation which makes global cotton production better for the people who produce it and the environment it grows.
And Simba has even thought about the end of the duvets lifespan as it’s been designed to biodegrade at end of life and almost totally dissolves in about two years when deposited in a landfill environment.
While the Simba Hybrid duvet isn’t the cheapest on the market I do think it’s an investment and value for money.
The Simba Hybrid duvet is available in four sizes – single, double, king and super king size.
