Pocket Book of Happiness and Friendship – review (AD)

Pocket Book of Happiness and Friendship – review (AD)

8th March 2020 8 By Rachael Stray

I was kindly sent the Pocket Book of Happiness and the Pocket Book of Friendship by the lovely Trigger Publishing folk in exchange for an honest review*.

These little books of inspirational and uplifting quotes arrived at the perfect time when I needed a boost – hearing the sad news about Caroline Flack and Elsie teething meant a lack of sleep and feeling low.

Pocket Book of Friendship

3D Friendship cover

Synopsis

When life seems a little lonely, turn to this collection of inspirational quotes to establish stronger friendships in your life.

It offers a little guidance for when the scales of life are tipped, times are turbulent and a moment of companionship is needed.

Filled with wisdom from some of the world’s most well-known minds, the Pocket Book of Friendship offers thoughts and advice to restore, reset, and revive your day-to-day life.

‘The best part about having true friends is that you can go months without seeing them and they’ll still be there for you and act as if you’d never left!’ – Ariana Grande

‘I don’t feel very much like Pooh today,’ said Pooh.
‘There there,’ said Piglet. ‘I’ll bring you tea and honey
until you do.’ – Piglet (A.A. Milne)

A standout quote included in this Pocket Book for me is this one:

‘I cannot even imagine were I would be today if it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy.’ (Charles R. Swindoll)

I do not have hundreds of friends but rather a select few upon which I know I can really rely on for the good, the bad and the ugly times!

Pocket Book of Happiness

3D Happiness cover

Synopsis

When life seems a little joyless, turn to this collection of inspirational quotes to establish some happiness in your life.

Between the noise of everyday life it can be hard to stop and recognise those all-important moments of joy.

Filled with wisdom from some of the world’s most well-known minds, the Pocket Book of
Happiness offers thoughts and advice to restore, reset, and revive your day-to-day life.

‘I think happiness is overrated. Satisfied, at peace— those would be more realistic goals.’ – Brad Pitt

‘Happiness is to continue to desire what one possesses.’ – St. Augustine of Hippo

Two standout quotes included in this Pocketbook for me:

‘Happiness is the best makeup.’ – Drew Barrymore

‘Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.’ – Mary Lou Retton

When we’re surrounded by horrible stories on the news, nasty trolling on social media and other negative influences it can often be hard to feel happy – sometimes we just need a little reminder of looking for the good.

These Pocket Books are a really lovely idea and a good price point – £5.99 each.

I really like the size of these handy little books, perfect for popping in your handbag for when you’re out and about and might just need a quick flick through for a mindful moment.

Because they are hardback it means they are durable and feel a bit more special.

Small, visually appealing and designed with modern bold colours these little inspirational books are perfect for gifting.

Trigger Publishing have produced four of these lush Pocketbooks covering – Love, Friendship, Hope and Happiness which are all available to buy now.
