Max Photo photo book review (AD)
A picture paints a thousand words and what better way to capture lasting memories than with a photo book and Max Photo at Tesco make the process really easy*.
For my friend Farrah’s 30th birthday I created a photo book capturing our friendship over the years as one of her birthday presents which was a gifted opportunity from the lovely folk at Max Photo.
Photo books start from just £15 which is a great price point.
It’s really easy to make a really personalised and special photo book from the comfort of your sofa via the website.
There’s lots of choice about what kind of design and overall finish you want including the paper, hardback or soft and what kind of size and layout you want and how many pages etc.
I opted for the medium landscape photo book with hardcover and gloss finish as I wanted to make something really special for her birthday.
To make every page different and to fit in with my story I also added little graphics and text as well as using the advanced editor options.
Before pulling together the photo book I compiled a folder on my laptop of the pictures I wanted to include – this took the longest amount of time!
I was even able to create a unique cover too by uploading a photograph of my choice which I think makes it even more unique.
There’s so much you can do with the advanced editor tools option and I was really happy with the finished design.
It’s really easy to upload your photos and change the layout of the pages.
You can also preview as you go along to see what the photo book will look like which is really helpful.
Another handy feature is that you can also drag and drop pages if you decide you want one further back within the book which I did a couple of times as my creative juices were flowing.
I wanted to be able to have text to create a bit of a storybook look back on our friendship as you turned each page and it was really easy to edit the font, size and colour.
Some pages required different sizes of images and there’s so many options for how you layout your photos – it’s very flexible.
As I was due to have lovely Elsie getting out to the shops wasn’t practical for me; so I opted to have the photo book delivered at home and it came within a couple of days through the letterbox so there were no worries about not being home and having to collect it from the sorting office.
You can opt to collect your photo book in store for free which I did when I ordered the personalised photo blocks.
The finish and quality is fantastic and I really hope Farrah loves her unique personalised photo book packed full of fun memories.
My photo book with the additional extras I chose came to £31 in total which I think is really great value for money as the finished product is really high quality, unique and special.
The whole process from start to finish took me a little over two hours but a lot of this time was me whittling down which pictures to use!
I really like that there’s so many choices and you can have a lot of fun playing around with the flexible editing tools to create something really unique and special.
I’d absolutely recommend these fabulous photo books if you have a special birthday or anniversary you’d like to celebrate with lasting memories captured forever.
