What I’m looking forward to this Spring
I don’t know about you but I always feel more positive and full of energy when the lighter, longer days kick in and here’s what I’m looking forward to now spring is here.
Last year I shared with you avid readers the 5 things I’m looking forward to this Spring so wanted to do the same this year.
What I’m looking forward to this Spring
Longer days and more sunlight
Driving to and from work in the dark is one of my biggest pet peeves about the winter.
I can’t be the only one who misses the sun?
One of the biggest reasons to look forward to spring is the longer days.
I love the sunlight and when spring approaches, the sunlight starts sticking around longer.
Is there anything better than days filled with brilliant sunshine!
Enjoying our garden
Last year the hubby and I spent weeks giving our back garden some much-needed TLC.
It was hard graft and lots of trips to the tip but it was worth it.

Our garden with freshly planted flowers
Painting the shed in the heatwave was not fun but it looks so much better now.
This year it’s just a case of maintaining all that hard work we did last year and actually getting to enjoy the fruits of our labour.
I’m looking forward to planting some new plants and bringing some colour back in the garden.
We do have a lovely patio we can sit out in and enjoy those longer evenings – I am so looking forward to getting out the garden furniture!
Warmer weather
We had a couple of days of beautiful unseasonably warm weather in February which really whet my appetite for spring.
If there’s one thing I need as much as I need sunshine, it’s some warmer weather!

Smiling at Bamburgh beach
When the sun has his hat on I just feel so much more motivated to get up and go – to explore, to get out of the house.
Getting back outside and exploring
Last year I tried to explore more of my native North East with the hubby and I’m looking forward to doing more of the same this year.
I’d like to explore more of Northumberland as it is officially the best UK holiday county to visit as well as enjoying more fish and chips at the coast!

Alnwick Castle
Airing out the house
Although I do try to air our house out during the colder months, as this is one of the best ways to reduce condensation, it’s not quite the same when it brings in a chill!

Open the windows
I love to open up the windows in the spring and let that fresh air come flow all through the house. Everything smells so crisp and just feels so much better.

I enjoy the gardening too, but most of all the warmer weather! 🙂
Definitely the weather too!
👍🏼😊
I enjoy all these things, too. We’ve had a few warmer days so I could air out the house, but then it just gets so cold again!
I know it kind of comes in fits and starts of warmer then colder here too. It’s already lighter though which is lovely.
YES to it all! Definitely more warmth (I’m always cold though, but after so long it gets very miserable), sunshine, getting outside (love the tiered flowered beds by the way), sitting on the patio, opening the windows without an arctic blast coming in. HURRY UP SPRING! 🙂
Caz xx
I am with you on all of these. I much prefer the warmer weather and I am really looking forward to spending more time pottering out in the garden.
Yes!! Better days are coming x
I love Spring, all the rebirth is inspiring!
